Today’s quick and easy breakfast idea is ham, sausage, egg and cheese crescent rolls.

If you have seen some of my other recipes then you should know I’m all about the quick and easy breakfast and dinner ideas. This is most definitely another one of those. It takes almost no time to make and very little to no prep. That’s what I’m all about. No one has time to make an elaborate dinner- well, at least not this mommy. Not to mention, it’s definitely pretty tasty. In hindsight though, probably not the lowest calorie meal I’ve ever made. But hey, you win some, you lose some.

To make all of this even better, these ham, sausage, egg and cheese crescent  rolls are a fan favorite in our household. As I mentioned earlier, not the healthiest calorie-wise, but these ingredients are all things my kids won’t eat separately. However, put them together and they are all about it.

It is also a great breakfast recipe. However, there is just something wonderful about breakfast for dinner. I don’t know what it is, but breakfast foods taste ten times better when eating it for dinner. Am I the only one that feels this way? Either way, this is a great hit.

Roll-up Ingredients:

  • Can of crescent rolls
  • Cheese
  • Eggs
  • Breakfast sausage links (pre-cooked)
  • Sliced ham

How to prepare egg and cheese crescent rolls:

You’ll first want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Then, begin by scrambling the eggs in a pan on medium heat. Stir until fully cooked.

While the eggs are finishing up, lay out the crescent rolls on a cooking sheet, leaving a little bit of room between one another.

Break each of your four slices of cheese in half and lay them directly onto the crescent rolls.

Once you have placed all the slices of cheese, you will add your ham and sausage.  Wrap a slice of ham around each piece of sausage and place it on top of the cheese slices. Do this for each crescent roll.

Once completed, add a spoonful of egg into each crescent roll and roll it up, starting at the longer end. If the egg is falling out, just squeeze it back in the best you can.

Bake at 375 for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. For an added flavor, I some times like adding a little bit of salsa. It makes it seem kind of like a breakfast burrito, but for dinner.

These egg and cheese crescent rolls will hold for up to 3 days in the fridge.  They will freeze, but just expect the egg and crescent roll parts to not heat up to exactly the same texture after rewarming.
