Right before COVID-19 quarantine hit, I was starting to think it was time for a craft room remodel.  And then once we were stuck at home for a few weeks, I found myself with a lot more time to think about the remodel and make a plan.

It was a HUGE overhaul from my very first craft room closet to my new expansive craft area in our study.  I was so excited and so thankful that we found the space for me to spread out my crafts.  And, I’m so fortunate to have all the many cool craft machines and supplies that I have now.

So when it came time to use my new nifty Cricut Maker to put vinyl decorations on the wall, one of the first things that came to mind was the quote, “I Still Remember The Time Spent Praying For All I Have Now.”

And that is SO true!  Now, I have two beautiful daughters and a great husband, my husband and I both have doctorates, stable employment, a house, and will finish paying off our student loans in full next year (I cannot wait!), and we are all healthy.  What I have now is pretty much everything I dreamed of and prayed for and worked towards during my single and broke college days!

Sometimes I get caught up now in thinking I need more and want more, and I have a hard time finding contentment with what I have.  Isn’t that just the American way, though, it seems?  I have to sit myself down and remind myself that I am doing almost everything I ever wanted to!

Hence, I put this vinyl reminder on my craft room wall to remind me how fortunate I am and how I am surrounded by so many good things even amidst all the uncertainty in the world right now.  And a reminder that praying for the future is so important, too!

In case you need a little inspiration in your life, I’ll share my Cricut Design Space canvas so you can make this wall cling, too!

Make Your Own Wall Cling

Here’s how I made my cling and what I used to do it.  I don’t have an SVG of the cling, but I can offer my Cricut Design Space canvas below.

Here’s what I used to make my cling.

Making The Wall Cling

If you want to make your own vinyl wall saying, HERE is my Cricut Design Space canvas.  You should be able to click the link to access it in a new tab, where you will be instructed to open the Cricut Design Space desktop app.  If you’re not logged in, it will make you log in.  In this case, you might need to click on this link a second time to actually get it to open in Design Space.

Once Design Space is open, click on Customize.  You’ll want to set it to your desired size.  Then, click Make It and go on with cutting the letters out as you usually would.  The default file has the letters as black and pink, but you can cut them out with any vinyl color you want!  I chose turquoise and purple colors.

My Design Space has been pretty wonky these last few weeks, so if you’re having issues, please let me know.  I’m having a hard time getting in touch with Cricut customer support because of COVID-19 shutdowns to know if it’s something widespread or just with my account.

Adhering Vinyl to the Wall

Now, once it’s cut out, remember to transfer the vinyl to transfer paper or contact paper first.  Then, transfer it to your wall or desired surface and give it a good scrape.

All done!  I hope you enjoy this and are also reminded of the good things in life rather than the bad!
