Make your own pizza night is a family favorite in our household! My son has a blast creating his own pizza and doing it all by himself. He gets to choose how much of each topping he wants, and my husband gets to put as much cheese as possible. Not only is this a great, healthier alternative to ordering pizza, it also allows for some great family bonding. Overall, it is simple and you can choose what toppings to use based on what is in the house. Recipes like this are my favorite!

We also just love pizza.  If you haven’t been keeping up with the blog, you’ll notice how many recipes we have that are pizza-centric.  Such as crescent roll pizzas and homemade pizza bagels.

I’m pretty sure we all know how to make pizzas, but here’s a quick tutorial!

Arrange the 3 pizza crusts on a regular cookie sheet and add marinara. I use a spoon to make sure it is evenly spread over the entire crust.  Letting my son do this is a huge mess, but he really enjoys the sensory play.  If you’re less brave than me, there are brands of pasta sauce that come in squeeze bottles.  Cuts down a little on the mess.

Top with cheese to desired amount.  As I mentioned, my husband loves to put as much cheese as humanly possible on his pizza.

In my case, top with pineapple and ham. (My son chose to only put ham on half of his- I’m sure you can tell which one he made.)  Other topping ideas when you’re making your own pizza are: pepperoni, sausage, olives, onions, peppers, etc.

Place in the preheated oven at 425 degrees. Bake for 7-10 minutes. Once done, you can cut it to make it easier to eat.  As I already mentioned, make your own pizza night is an absolute blast!  We love the family bonding, and my son is more likely to eat food that he’s made himself.  A definite win.
